Cooler, windy weather Friday, evening rain & snow showers

TONIGHT: It looks mostly cloudy in the evening with a southeasterly wind at 10-15 mph. There is a slight shower or t-storm chance north of I-70 from 6-10 PM. Temperatures will hold in the upper 50s to lower 60s until 2 AM before dropping into the early morning hours in the 40s to upper 50s with coolest air in our northwestern counties.

FRIDAY: As a cold front moves on Friday morning there is as slight shower chance from 6AM through 9AM east of HWY 54.
It will be much cooler and windy with temperatures falling into the lower 40s by 5 PM and into the 30s during the evening hours. Winds will gust to 35 mph at times. A few rain showers are possible 5-7 PM with spotty snow showers 7PM to midnight but no snow accumulation is expected.

EXTENDED: The weekend looks more like late-winter with temperatures only reaching the low 40s Saturday and mid to upper 40s Sunday with cold nights in the upper 20s. Sunday there is a chance for a rain/snow mix during the day and evening. On Monday the temperatures start warming and rain is possible. It looks like the mid 60s will be possible again by Tuesday with a chance of rain and perhaps a few rumbles of thunder during the day Tuesday.
