Dense Fog Wednesday Morning

TODAY: A Dense Fog Advisory is valid through 9AM for areas south of I-70 and including all counties along and east of US 63 for visibility falling under 1/4 mile. We’ll start off the day with temperatures in the upper 40s with light south winds. As the wind picks up mid morning record warmth is possible today. The record high is 76 from 1995. Humidity will drop to 30-40% in the afternoon as southwesterly winds gust as high as 25 mph which could cause fires to spread quickly. Outdoor burning is discouraged for Wednesday.

TONIGHT: Scattered clouds look to be on the increase overnight with southerly winds becoming calm again overnight. Patchy fog will be possible, although dense fog is not likely.

EXTENDED: There is a chance of rain and isolated t-storms from mid-morning Thursday through early afternoon mainly north of HWY 50 and mainly west of US 63. Rain amounts will stay under a tenth of an inch and will be spotty. Thursday will still be warm with high temperatures in the lower 70s, close to the record high of 73. As a cold front moves through Thursday night, a few showers are possible into early Friday morning. It will be much cooler and windy Friday with highs in the upper 50s and westerly winds gusting to 30 mph. By Saturday morning flurries may be possible for those north of I-70 from 1AM through 6AM in the morning. The upcoming weekend looks to be more seasonal with temperatures returning to normal in the 40s Saturday and Sunday with cold nights in the upper 20s. We will have another chance of rain from Sunday morning through mid-afternoon with possible snow mixed in early before changing to all rain mainly north of I-70.
