Foggy start with increasing sun Tuesday
TODAY: Morning clouds & fog will clear to a mostly sunny afternoon for those west of US 63. Clouds will likely linger from HWY 54 and east where there is a slight afternoon shower chance from 2PM-5PM this afternoon. Winds will be light from the north/northwest under 7 mph with temperatures in the low 70s today.
TONIGHT: As clouds clear, temperatures will be slightly cooler dipping to the upper 40s overnight. Winds will shift overnight becoming southerly under 5 mph.
EXTENDED: Wednesday will be warm with a southwest breeze with temperatures warming in the mid to upper 70s. The record high Wednesday is 76 from 1995. We’ll come close to this and possibly break yet another record! Humidity will drop to 30-40% in the afternoon as southwesterly winds gust as high as 25 mph which could cause fires to spread quickly. Outdoor burning is discouraged for Wednesday. Another rain chance does exist for Thursday and increasing towards Friday as a storm system moves through, giving us windy weather Friday and much cooler temperatures with highs in the upper 50s. The best chance for rain on Thursday looks to be north of I-70. The upcoming weekend looks to be more seasonal with temperatures returning to normal in the 40s Saturday and Sunday with cold nights in the upper 20s. We’ll keep an eye for rain & snow chances Sunday into Monday of next week. For additional weather updates follow @ABC17Stormtrack on Twitter.
