Warming temperatures, gusty winds

Slightly cooler air is moving in for Wednesday giving us a cold start to the day with morning low temperatures near 30. The afternoon will be more typical for mid-February as temperatures climb into the mid to upper 40s under mostly sunny skies and a northwesterly breeze to 10 mph.

Winds shift to the southwest Wednesday night for the beginning of a warming trend for Thursday as afternoon temperatures climb into the low to mid 60s. It will be a dry, mostly sunny and breezy day with southwesterly winds gusting as high as 25 mph. Outdoor burning should be avoided due to abnormally dry conditions.

The warming trend will continue into the weekend with afternoon highs reaching the upper 60s Friday to near 70 by Sunday with passing clouds.
