Police find shell casings in north Columbia after reports of gunshots
UPDATE 2/13: Columbia police have responded to Derby Ridge Drive for gunshots incidents at least four times in the last year, and at least once for a shots fired incident, according to online police records.
Robert Impey, who called police Sunday to report hearing gunshots, said the neighborhood is usually quiet.
Impey said it’s unsettling to hear gunshots in what he thought was a quiet neighborhood.
Police said there was no damage to property. They said the investigation is continuing.
ORIGINAL 2/12: Columbia police said officers found shell casings Sunday night in the 3500 block of Derby Ridge Drive.
Police responded to the scene around 7 p.m. Officers told ABC 17 News crews at the scene that no injuries were reported.
It’s unclear if the shooting caused any damage to property.
