Overnight crash in Boone County sends one man to hospital
A man is recovering after an overnight crash in Boone County.
It happened around 2 a.m. Sunday morning at the intersection of Saint Charles Road and Battle Avenue.
A Boone County Sheriff’s deputy told our crews on scene that only one man was involved, and he had to be extricated from his car.
The vehicle was totaled in the crash. Emergency crews were on scene for about an hour.
Deputies later confirmed alcohol and drugs are suspected to be a factor in the crash. The driver was released on summons at the hospital.
