Remains located in Cole County suspected to be missing man from home fire

An anthropologist and a team of eight others from the University of Missouri and Columbia College arrived and started sifting through the debris at the site of a home fire near Eugene from November.

They were able to locate skeletal remains from the location that authorities believe to be Glen Ford.

It happened just before 2:00 a.m. on Nov. 14 at 16316 Berry Street.

Authorities had determined that no one was in the house at the time of the fire, but had not been able to locate the resident, Glen Ford.

Ford was missing after a fire completely destroyed his home. This was a collaborative effort between the Cole County Sheriff’s Department, Cole County Public Works, Cole County Emergency Management, Cole County Fire Protection District, Cole County First Responders, University of Missouri and Columbia College.
