UPDATE: Victim identified in deadly Higbee fire

UPDATE 6:00 p.m.: Randolph County Sheriff Mark Nichols told ABC 17 News the fire does not appear to suspicious in manner. He said the investigation by the fire marshal could take a couple weeks to be completed and likely will not have any more information available until that investigation is completed.

UPDATE 11:39 a.m.: The victim of the fire has been identified as 61-year-old Daniel Faddis. We will continue to update this story as more information becomes available.

ORIGINAL STORY: The Higbee Area Fire Protection District responded to a deadly fire Friday morning.

ABC 17 News called the district this morning and confirmed there was a fatality in a fire on County Road 2445.

Right now ABC 17 News is working to confirm how the fire started.
