UPDATE: Lincoln University lockdown lifted

A lockdown Thursday at Lincoln University has been lifted, a spokesperson told ABC 17.

An email to faculty and students said police were looking for Reginald Jennings, the subject of a warning Wednesday night.

According to university officials, LUPD responded to Dawson Hall Wednesday night on reports of an altercation. They said one person was making threats with a weapon.

University officials said LUPD investigated overnight Wednesday.

Officials used cell phone tracking to determine that Jennings was returning to campus Thursday morning. The university was placed on lockdown at 8:50 a.m. Police took Jennings into custody and the lockdown was lifted at 9:10 a.m.

University officials said the incident is still being investigated.
