Mid-Missouri prosecutor set to appear in court

The Montieau County Prosecutor will appear in court Thursday afternoon on the defendant’s side of the bench.

Shayne Healea faces five charges after he reportedly drove his truck into Addison’s Restaurant in downtown Columbia in October 2014. Four people were hurt in the crash.

In November, Healea filed to have the case dismissed.

The parties involved in the case are expected to discuss a judge’s report on a potential Sixth Amendment violation by Columbia police.

Thursday’s hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. in Shelby County Court.
