Wednesday February 8 Morning Weather
TODAY: Skies will be mostly cloudy and it will be colder. There is a chance of light snow along and north of HWY where minor accumulation is possible. Sleet is possible this morning. South of I-70 light rain is possible mainly after 10AM through 1PM. Columbia could see light snow from 11AM through 1PM. Most will see under 1/2″ of snow north of I-70 while locally higher amounts near 1″ is possible near Hermann, Jefferson City, and Linn. The north wind this morning near 8-10 mph will bring a wind chill to the low 20s for the morning commute.
TONIGHT: It will still be frigid with wind chills in the mid 20s for the evening commute with northerly winds near 10 mph. It turns colder tonight as skies clear late and temperatures fall to the low 20s/upper teens.
EXTENDED: The wind chill Thursday morning returns to the single digits! It will be cold and dry with partly cloudy skies and highs in the upper 30s. It will still be cold starting off the day Friday, while temperatures will warm considerably fast as we’ll reach the 60s again in the afternoon. Saturday looks to be the nicer day this weekend with highs in the mid 60s with an isolated shower chance. Sunday will colder with more clouds and a better rain chance.
