Minor Snow Accumulation by Wednesday Afternoon

Newest forecast model data this morning is indicating possibly minor snow accumulation now near HWY 50 across the Missouri River upwards to 1″ of snow by this afternoon at 3PM.

Columbia is looking like a dusting of snow from 11AM through 1PM. We’ll want to watch for low visibility for the lunch hour. At this time, the air temperature at noon looks to be near 33 in Columbia. Slick spots will be possible on overpasses and bridges, while ice accumulation is not in the forecast. Those south of I-70 should see temperatures in the mid to upper 30s during this time, so pavement may be just wet for those south as snow should melt quickly on the ground, and accumulating on grassy surfaces.
