Cole County man arrested after getting into vehicle, pulling gun on victims
Kane Carpenter is accused of getting into a car with three other people on Sunday and reportedly pulling out a gun. He demanded their cell phones and money.
Police searched Carpenter’s home and found a pistol, marijuana and two cell phones. Court documents say that he was on a pre-trial services release from jail for pending charges at the time of this crime.
Carpenter was arrested Monday and is charged in Cole County with first degree robbery and armed criminal action and possession of marijuana/synthetic cannabinoid of 11 to 35 grams.
