Judge sentences man for accidental shooting that injured one
A judge sentenced a man Monday to probation with veteran’s court for an accidental Boone County shooting that injured one person
Monday the judge sentenced Kenneth Shively for two separate cases. He was convicted of possessing a sawed-off shotgun and methamphetamine. He was also convicted of second degree assault for recklessly discharging a firearm while intoxicated causing injury.
ABC 17 News reported on the shooting on Demaret Drive in May 2016.
The 22-year-old victim had been shot in the abdomen and was hospitalized with non-threatening injuries.
Prosecutors had asked the judge to sentence Shively to three years in prison.
