Fireball Sighted Monday Morning

A fireball was sighted early this morning across 9 states with over 190 sightings in of Iowa, Kansas, Illionis, Minnesota, Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Wisconsin, New York, and Missouri. Some reported a boom, and others reported a flash of light, and some reported both. In northwest Missouri in Kingston, Missouri in Caldwell county a light was reported at approximately 1:30AM. The light appeared for approximately 1.5 seconds that had a blue hue to it. This will likely a meteor encountering Earth’s atmosphere. Typical meteors burn up before entering Earth’s atmosphere, while sometimes these can be visible. At low horizons these can also give different hues, reflecting different wavelenghts.
