“Significant” theft at Victoria’s Secret in Jefferson City Mall

A sergeant with the Jefferson City Police Department tells ABC 17 News that a “significant” theft occurred at Victoria’s Secret overnight in the Jefferson City Mall around 2 a.m. Sunday.

The attached photos were taken by a viewer in the mall Sunday morning.

Police could only release very few details. They say they don’t have a total dollar amount for the items stolen, and it may be some time before they get an estimate.

ABC 17 News also asked about security in the mall, but the sergeant couldn’t answer our questions due to the ongoing investigation.

The investigation has been turned over to detectives.

Police said that just before this burglary at Victoria’s Secret, there was an attempted burglary at Dick’s Sporting Goods, but no entry was made.

Police said that they are looking to see if the two incidents are related.
