Woman suspected of multiple home burglaries charged in Boone County

A woman is now charged in connection to at least one home burglary in Boone County and is suspected of being involved in several others.

Jamie Bradley, 32, was charged Thursday with second degree burglary, stealing, tampering with evidence and possession of a controlled substance after allegedly stealing jewelry, shoes and a safe from a home in the 3400 block of Barberry Avenue on Jan. 31.

According to online court documents, Boone County sheriff’s deputies placed a court-approved GPS device on Bradley’s car on Jan. 28 because she was suspected of several other home burglaries dating back to September.

Deputies noticed Bradley’s car spent more than two hours in the Valley View West neighborhood on Tuesday. The probable cause statement said she was parked for more than 30 minutes on Barberry Avenue near the address of the burglary.

The Sheriff’s Department, armed with a search warrant, searched Bradley’s home in the 5400 block of Baseline Place on Wednesday where they found the items stolen from the home on Barberry Avenue.

Deputies believe Bradley is involved in at least seven other burglaries throughout the county. A majority of them happened less than a mile away from where she was living.

Bradley was arrested on Dec. 27 after she was pulled over by deputies. They found items reported stolen from many of the homes inside her car. She was charged with receiving stolen property, possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a weapon.

She posted a $23,000 surety bond the next day.

Bradley is currently being held in the Boone County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
