Greitens pulls two UM board of curator nominations

Two of Gov. Jay Nixon’s nominations to the University of Missouri board of curators were withdrawn Tuesday by his Republican successor, Gov. Eric Greitens.

Patrick Graham and Jon Sundvold were selected by the former governor to fill two of the three unoccupied curator positions.

Those nominations were pulled after Tom Voss and Mary Nelson resigned in January.

Four of the constitutionally mandated nine curator positions are now vacant as is the non-voting student curator position, which Graham would have filled.

Two of the six current members, Pam Hendrickson and Don Cupps said they’ll serve only until replacements are designated.

According to state statute, the Missouri Senate must confirm Greitens’ appointees to those positions.
