Former Columbia city employee is suing the city over resignation
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
A former Columbia city employee is suing the city over her resignation.
Colleen Spurlock filed the lawsuit.
She says City Manager John Glascock forced her to resign or be fired.
She says he did this because she attended a city council meeting where a fellow city worker criticized the city's handling of pay raises.
The lawsuit says the fallout of the meeting led to several other city employees losing their jobs.
A city spokesperson declined to comment on the lawsuit.
