Dense Fog Advisory and Rain Monday Morning

A Dense Fog Advisory is valid through 10AM for those east of US 63. The advisory will expire for those south of the Missouri River at 8AM. A Dense Fog Advisory means visibility of will fall to 1/4 of a mile or less at times. Due to rapid changes in visibility, this will cause hazardous driving conditions.

Rain will also be moderate to heavy at times this morning through 11AM. Temperatures will be warming, so winter weather is not expected. Rain amounts will range from 0.25″ to 0.50″ across I-44 today. Central Mid-Missouri will see upwards to 0.75″ and areas from HWY 24 and north could see higher amounts of 1″. Rain will become light in the afternoon, ending by 7PM-9PM. Fog looks possible again on Tuesday morning, and we’ll need to watch for freezing fog on Wednesday morning as the air temperature looks likely to fall below 32.
