Weekend weather and what to expect
ABC 17 News has been monitoring the road conditions Saturday morning throughout Boone County and Cole County.
As of Saturday morning, the primary roads have been treated, but slick spots are still possible. Residential and gravel roads are extremely slick. Try to avoid going outside on the sidewalks and driveways, due to the fisk of falling.
The remainder of Saturday will be quiet as far as the weather goes. However, we will have ice accumulation take place tonight, making the Sunday morning commute slick.
Because most people have been staying off of the roads, public works crews have been able to effectively and consistently treat them. Remember to drive slowly and cautiously if driving is an absolute necessity.
