Saturday Morning, January 14

SATURDAY: Spotty freezing rain & drizzle in the morning will end with much of the day staying dry until the next wave of moisture moves in. High temperatures will reach near 32 north of I-70 and up to 36 near I-44 with northeasterly winds up to 8 mph.

TONIGHT: Freezing rain will increase after 10 PM from the southwest, spreading northeast through Sunday morning as temperatures hover just below freezing. Ice accumulation is likely.

EXTENDED: Freezing rain is likely Sunday morning. Temperatures will slowly warm from south to north Sunday, reaching the mid to upper 30s by evening, except from HWY 24 north where it will stay near freezing until mid-evening. Rain will taper off through late afternoon and early evening, lingering north of I-70 the longest. Total ice accumulation for this event will likely come in anywhere from .20″ to .50″. Rain moves back in late Sunday night as temperatures climb into the lower 40s by Monday morning and 50s Monday afternoon. Rain ends by early Monday evening.
