QUESTION OF THE DAY: Do you support bills such as the ‘Parents’ Bill of Rights?’
A hearing room was packed in the Missouri Capitol on Tuesday as scores of people showed up to support or oppose legislation known as the "Parents' Bill of Rights."
The two bills set a record for most public testimony on a proposal. The legislation would allow for parents to sit in on classroom lessons, among other provisions, and is touted by conservative opponents of critical race theory. Opponents say they'd have a chilling effect on teaching and undermine public education.
