Mexico man sentenced for drug trafficking

A Mexico man has been sentenced to federal prison for trafficking methamphetamine.

54 year-old Robby Kesler was sentenced to 11 years and five months in federal prison without parole.

Kesler was arrested in May 2015, after officers from the MUSTANG Task Force saw him enter a residence in Columbia after he was approached by a Highway Patrol Trooper. Residents of the home told officers Kesler entered without their permission and was hiding in a bathroom. When officers arrested Kesler, he was found to have over $1700 in his wallet, an additional $9000 in cash in the house, and 370 grams of methamphetamine in his car.

Kesler had also been preciously arrested with drugs and large amounts of cash in 2013 and 2014.
