Bidding opens for a backup 911 center

On Tuesday, the Boone County Commission opened the bidding for a new backup 911 center on East Walnut.

The engineer’s estimate the base bid to be around $210,824.

The commissioners opened up the bids for Grove Construction L.L.C, Little Dixie Construction, G&T Construction L.L.C, Professional Contractors and Engineers Inc, GBH Builders Inc, and Rhad A Baker Construction.

The commissioners and the Boone County Purchasing Office will look over the bids and decide who will be the construction company for the new center.
