New complaint issued against sheltered workshop in Fulton

Another complaint was filed against the nonprofit sheltered workshop Kingdom Projects.

According to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration website, a complaint was filed in November of 2016.

ABC 17 News spoke with the St. Louis Area director who confirmed a complaint was filed alleging the organization was improperly using heavy equipment.

Bill McDonald told ABC 17 News that the department can’t release more information because the investigation is ongoing.

This complaint comes after a worker died at the facility in April. According to the Fulton Police Department a worker was killed after getting stuck between a truck and fork lift.

OSHA says the department has six months to issue a citation to the organization. If the organization receives that citation, they have to respond to OSHA.

ABC 17 News will continue to check in with OSHA on this investigation.
