1 year old dies in Wardsville crash

UPDATE 1/10 4:421 a.m: Troopers say the child was named Brailyn Baugher and she was one.

Troopers say the crash happened when a Chevrolet Tahoe traveled off the right side of the road, returned back to the road, crossed the center line and struck a Mercedes.

Baugher was pronounced dead at the scene, there were two other occupants in the vehicle. Both of them had serious injuries.

The driver of the Mercedes had moderate injuries.

The three were transported to local hospitals.

UPDATE 1/9 10:21 a.m: Troopers confirm a three year old died in the crash.

UPDATE 1/9 8:08 a.m: A spokesperson for the Missouri State Highway Patrol confirms to ABC17 there is at least one dead in the crash.

The Major Crash Investigation is investigating the scene right now.

ORIGINAL: The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a crash in Wardsville on Monday morning.

They got the call around 6:30 this morning.

The crash happened on Route M.

Troopers say they are currently working the scene.

ABC17 is looking to find out if there were any serious injuries involved.
