TONIGHT: Skies will be partly cloudy overnight as winds will be breezy from the northwest at 15 mph. Temperatures will drop overnight to the teens, bringing the wind chill in the single digits by Wednesday morning.
WEDNESDAY: Skies will start off mostly sunny with increasing clouds. The morning will be very cold with temperatures in the teens, climbing into the mid to upper 20s in the afternoon as winds subside to 5 mph by evening.
EXTENDED: We’re keeping an eye on a chance of light snow Wednesday night and Thursday morning. Light snow will move in after 11 PM from the west and spread southeast through early morning Thursday, ending by mid-morning south of I-70. At this time, amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected north of I-70 with a half inch to an inch south. Local amounts of 3 inches are possible north of I-70. Snow ends by noon Thursday and it stays very cold with highs only in the lower 20s, dropping to near 10 Thursday night. We’ll stay below freezing through Saturday with nights in the teens and days in the 20s to near 30 before warming a few degrees Sunday. It looks dry from Thursday afternoon through the weekend. Warmer weather moves in next week with a slight rain chance next Tuesday.
