Fog and drizzle a concern for mid-Missouri drivers Tuesday for morning commute
UPDATE 6:09am: The National Weather Service has cancelled the Dense Fog Advisory for the mid-Missouri area.
ORIGINAL: Foggy conditions and drizzle could impact some mid-Missouri drivers as they head back to work after the holiday weekend Tuesday.
A Dense Fog Advisory was extended overnight until 8:00am for Camden, Maries, Miller, Morgan, Phelps, and Pulaski Counties.
ABC 17 Stormtrack Meteorologist Brittany Beggs also says drizzle will likely last until around noon Tuesday east of US 63 with clouds breaking by early afternoon.
The drizzle and fog are enough to make your morning commute a bit slower and possibly dangerous.
Temperatures remain mild Tuesday morning, so ice is not a concern. However that drizzle does have roads wet, meaning they could be a little slick if you’re driving too fast.
Although Columbia and Jefferson City are not included in the dense fog advisory, ABC 17 News did get reports of wet roads and some hazy conditions Tuesday morning.
So far, ABC 17 News has not heard any reports of crashes or traffic impacts. ABC 17 News is monitoring the conditions live as they change on ABC 17 News This Morning.
