Columbia man killed in Rock Quarry crash

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 24-year-old Columbia man was killed in a crash late Monday, police said.

Caleb Wheeler died when his Volkswagen Jetta went off the road in the 2400 block of Rock Quarry Road, hit a tree and overturned, landing back on the road, according to a Columbia Police Department news release.

Wheeler was not wearing a seat belt, police said. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Police say the cause of the crash is under investigation.
