Missouri electors vote for Trump, Pence

All 10 of Missouri’s electors voted for President-elect Donald Trump and vice president-elect Mike Pence.

The votes were cast Monday in the Capitol amid hundreds of demonstrators who were urging electors to change their vote to Hillary Clinton.

Supporters of the president-elect were also in the capitol building as the ballots were cast and the results announced.

“My honor was on the line to abide by the results of the general election,” said Missouri elector Sherry Kuttenkuler. “I was elected by the people to represent the fourth congressional district in Missouri and that’s what I did.”

Trump received around 57 percent of Missouri votes in the general election.
