Boone County 2016 property taxes due Dec. 31

Boone County 2016 property taxes are due by midnight on Dec 31, 2016.

County offices will be closed on Saturday, Dec. 31. The last day to pay in person at the collector’s office is by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 30. The collector’s office is located on the first floor of the Roger B. Wilson Boone County Government Center on the corner of 9th Street and Ash Street.

Property tax payments can be placed in the collection payment drop box located near the entrance of the Government Center on the corner of 9th Street and Ash Streets. Payments must be deposited by midnight on Dec.31 to be considered received on time.

Mailed payments must be postmarked by Dec. 31 to be considered paid on time. Be sure your check or money order is written for the correct amount, and sign your check.

Lastly, payments can be made with a credit card or e-check online at the collector’s webpage www.showmeboone.com/COLLECTOR or by phone at 1-877-690-3729. Have your bill number handy and use jurisdiction code 3517.
