13-year-old dies in Laclede County vehicle crash
A 13-year-old died in a vehicle crash in Laclede County on Friday morning.
Maret A. Kumaev, 30, of Brooklyn, New York was driving westbound on I-44 in a 2017 freightliner. Neil J. Brueggemann, 36 of Beaufort was also driving westbound in a 2007 Chevy Silverado.
Kumaev lost control of his vehicle and hit Brueggemann. Kumaev went off of the left side of the road, across the median and hit Tiffany D. Woodcock, 37 of Phillipsburg, who was driving a 2015 Jeep Renegade eastbound on I-44.
Woodcock’s 13-year-old passenger, Samantha Woodcock, was pronounced dead at Mercy Hospital in Springfield. Tiffany is in moderate condition, and Kameron Woodcock, the other passenger in Tiffany’s car, is in serious condition.
