Wednesday Morning December 7
TODAY: The day will start off dry and cloudy with temperatures in the upper 20s with a wind chill close to 18-20 for the morning commute. Some flurries are possible throughout the day south of I-70, with the better chance for light snow from 3PM-9PM. Minor accumulation of 1/2″ is likely, with possibly a few areas near the Ozarks seeing up to 1″. Areas north of I-70 will see no accumulation. Where we do have accumulation it will be on grassy surfaces as the ground is too warm this time of year for much to stick.
TONIGHT: The arctic air moves in tonight bringing the coldest temperatures of the season. Temperatures will fall to the teens by 10PM and skies begin to clear north of I-70. Winds will remain from the northwest overnight from 10-15 mph with an air temperature near 15.
EXTENDED: By Thursday morning the wind chill will range from 0 to 5 degrees through 8AM. We’ll have plenty of sun Thursday and Friday with afternoon highs in the mid to upper 20s. Friday morning looks to be the coldest this week with low temperatures at 10-15 and wind chills dropping to near zero. Clouds move in Saturday as high temperatures reach the upper 30s and we finally make it above freezing.
