Visitation and funeral services announced for assistant fire chief that died in crash

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A fallen Boone County firefighter will be laid to rest next week.

Funeral services were announced for Assistant Chief Bryant Gladney with the Boone County Fire Protection District.

Gladney's visitation will be held Monday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The funeral will be held the next morning at 11 a.m.

Both of these events will be held at the Hearnes Center on Mizzou's campus.

After the services, a procession will leave the Hearnes Center onto Stadium Boulevard, right onto Providence, left onto Business Loop 70 and end at Memorial Funeral Home.

Gladney's truck was hit by an 18-wheeler early Wednesday morning on Interstate 70.

A crash report identified the driver of the 18-wheeler as Kevin Brunson from Kansas city.

Brunson is not in custody and no charges have been filed.
