Snow by Wednesday Evening

Minor accumulation is expected on Wednesday evening with snow bands moving into western Missouri by 1PM-3PM. Areas south of I-70 have have the better chance for accumulation by Wednesday evening from 4PM-10PM. Most areas will see under 1/2″ of snow north of I-70, while areas south will pick up close to 1″. Perhaps where some heavier bands occur, locally near 2″ south of the Missouri River and north of I-44 is possible. The issue for tomorrow is the timing. Those traveling after 5PM will likely have snow showers occurring, reducing visibility at times, along with having minor accumulation on roadways at this time.

Given it is the only 2nd time we’ve had winter weather this season, and the first time during the week, those not predisposed to driving in winter weather should take their time tomorrow and make sure vehicles are prepared for winter conditions, for example check air pressure in tires, and have an ice/snow scraper handy.
