Driver flown to hospital after rollover crash in Camden County

A 21-year-old Sunrise Beach man was seriously injured Friday night in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 5 in Camden County, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

The crash happened around 9:45 p.m. near the Highway 7 Junction.

Troopers said the driver, Macolm May, was traveling northbound when he drove off the left side of the road. May’s 2010 Dodge Journey then hit a ditch and flipped.

He was flown to University Hospital with serious injuries.

According to the crash report, May was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
