Wanted man arrested after allegedly ransacking home and pushing officer

On Monday night, Lenn Dukes was booked into the Boone County Jail on suspicion of ten charges.

ABC17 picked up public court documents and found some of the charges stem from an October incident.

Back in October, Dukes was charged with endangering a child in the 1st degree, armed criminal action, false imprisonment, and unlawful possession and use of a weapon.

When Dukes was booked last night, more charges were added. They include property damage in the 1st degree, resisting arrest, assaulting an officer, as well as two drug charges.

Police tell ABC 17 News that officers responded last night to the 1400 block of Hickam Drive for an unknown incident.

When they arrived they apparently saw a home’s windows broken. The woman who lived in the house told officers Dukes and her had gotten into an argument earlier in the day. She reportedly told them that’s when Dukes started breaking windows and a rear door.

Officers say they found Dukes locked in a room. They say they demanded he come out and when he finally did, he reportedly resisted arrest and pushed an officer in the process.

Police on scene had to tase Duke’s to get him into custody.

Officers then say they noticed there was blood all over the house and cuts on Dukes hands.

They say the entire house had been ransacked and officers estimate the damage to total $3,000 dollars.

Court documents ABC 17 News obtained show back in October, at the same residence, Dukes endangered a child by firing a gun in his direction after having an argument with a woman he had been in a relationship with.

He reportedly beat the woman and ran away with a gun and keys to the house. Court documents say the woman was pregnant at the time of the alleged beating.

Back in October, court documents say officers tried contacting Dukes, but could not locate him. A warrant was then issued for his arrest.

Jail records indicate Dukes will be in court Tuesday.
