Quiet weather through Saturday

The weather stays quiet through Saturday as surface high pressure remains in control of our weather. Low clouds will persist through Thanksgiving morning but no rain is expected. We’ll have a cold morning with temperatures starting in the upper 30s but afternoon sunshine will warm us briefly to the low 50s, close to the average high temperature for November 24th of 49. Winds will stay light and shift to the south.

Another storm system passing to our north will send some clouds through the area Thursday night and early Friday but any precipitation from this system will stay north of Missouri. Black Friday shoppers will encounter a cold morning with temperatures in the mid-upper 30s and partly to mostly cloudy skies during the early morning hours.

Tigers will have good weather for the last home football game of the season as afternoon temperatures reach the low 50s by kick-off at 1:30 PM Friday. Winds will come in from the northwest under 8 mph with mostly sunny skies for the game.
