Home and car hit by bullets in shooting just outside of Columbia
The Boone County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a shooting that happened on Pinehurst Lane Sunday night.
Authorities were called to the scene around 9:45 p.m.
The Columbia Police Department was also on scene. An officer confirmed they found anywhere from 12-20 shell casings in the street.
Witnesses tell ABC 17 News they heard about 17 gunshots.
Law enforcement confirmed one home and a car were struck by the gunfire, but no one was hurt. It’s unclear if anyone was inside the home at the time of the shooting.
At this time, there is no suspect information.
