Cold start to the weekend

The weekend will start off with an icy breeze Saturday morning as northwesterly winds of 10-15 mph produce wind chills in the low 20s at daybreak as temperatures hover near the freezing mark. High pressure will settle over the area Saturday, keeping our temperatures cool but providing us with abundant sunshine. Afternoon temperatures will reach the upper 40s as winds gradually diminish.

Saturday night will be the coldest yet this season with lows in the mid to upper 20s with clear skies and light winds. Temperatures will be at or below freezing for 9-11 hours Saturday night, giving us a hard freeze.

Sunday will be a typical November day as high temperatures reach the lower 50s which is at the 30 year average of 52. Sunny skies and light winds will make for a nice afternoon.
