One man hurt in Columbia motorcycle crash

ABC 17 News has confirmed a 21 year old went to the hospital in an ambulance Thursday following a motorcycle crash near Old Highway 63 and the Business Loop in Columbia.

Emergency responders were called just before 3 p.m. Thursday.

Witnesses at the scene said it appears the motorcyclist was going about 100 mph as he tried cutting off a car when the road went down to one lane. The driver was thrown off after hitting a sign, and his bike skidded all the way to the railroad bridge. Police at the scene scene told ABC 17 News he had moderate but non-life threatening injuries, including a broken leg.
