Jefferson City Public Schools no longer pursuing land pruchase

The Jefferson City Public School District is no longer pursuing a land purchase for a second high school.

Dr. Larry Linthacum notified the school board Thursday that he is not recommending the purchase because the district already has adequate space. H plans to present a detailed expansion plan, including placing a second high school on a future election ballot, to the board at the November Board of Education meeting.
