No injuries after a truck hits a deer, flips on I-70

A truck driver is okay after hitting a deer and flipping his truck early Saturday morning.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, their investigation showed the driver was heading west on I-70 near Rocheport when the driver hit a deer. The collision caused the driver to lose control, cross the median, and flip the truck before landing in the eastbound lanes.

The truck was the only vehicle involved and had heavy damage to it.

Boone County firefighters were on scene to help remove the truck from the area.

Both lanes of traffic were closed while crews investigated and cleared the area however traffic was able to get by on the shoulder of the interstate.
