Mid-Missouri leaders meet with Hong Kong trade delegation

Cole County Presiding Commissioners Sam Bushman and Jefferson City Mayor Carrie Tergin hosted a discussion with representatives of Hong Kong’s economic and trade office.

Bushman said the meeting was to exchange information and ideas in hopes of strengthening international trade relations with the Chinese region.

Jefferson City is one of three stops the Hong Kong delegation will make in Missouri, the others being Kansas City and St. Louis.

Others in attendance included U.S. Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer, state Sen. Mike Kehoe and former Missouri Gov. Bob Holden.
