Three people hurt in Jefferson City crash

Three people are recovering after a crash in Jefferson City on Monday afternoon.

According to the Jefferson City Police Department, the crash happened around 5:12 p.m. at the intersection of South Country Club Drive and Horner Road.

Police said a Dodge Charger, driven by Logan Keilholz, 18, of Jefferson City, was traveling eastbound on Horner Road when it crashed into a Ford truck, driven by Samuel Sinnet, 47, of Jefferson City.

The force of the collision pushed Sinnet’s pickup into a Ford Explorer, driven by Joshua Winemiller, 34, of Russellville, who had stopped his vehicle in the northbound lanes of Country Club Drive.

Heiholz’s vehicle continued across the intersection and went off the roadway. The vehicle continued down a hill that separates eastbound U.S. Highway 50 and Missouri Boulevard.

A 7-year-old child in Sinnett’s vehicle and an 8-month-old baby in Winemiller’s car were not hurt in the crash.

All three drivers were taken to the hospital by ambulance. Two people went to Jefferson City hospitals, and one person was taken to University Hospital in Columbia.
