Update: All power appears restored after storms cause outages overnight

UPDATE 6:00am: It appears that power is now restored for all impacted areas.

UPDATE 5:00am: Columbia Water and Light is now reporting about 74 customers are still without power.

The area impacted is in central Columbia, in the areas surrounding Stephens Lake Park.

Watch ABC 17 News This Morning for a live update on the outages from one of the impacted areas.

ORIGINAL: More than 150 Columbia residents are without power after storms blew across Mid-Missouri Wednesday night.

Currently, crews are working to fix the outages and have been on scene since 11:24 p.m.

The street most affected is Sylvan Lane.

Boone Electric Cooperative also reported outages earlier this morning, but they have been mostly restored. Its outage maps are showing less than 25 customers are without power.

ABC17 crews spoke with Boone Electric and they could confirm the outages were weather related. We are still waiting to hear back on the final numbers of how many people were affected overnight.

Ameren’s outage map was also showing more than 600 Cole County residents without power, however those have been fixed as well.
