Two arrested after Kingdom City car chase

Two people were arrested Tuesday morning after a car chase in Kingdom City.

A Callaway County deputy attempted to stop a vehicle on US Highway 54 at Old Highway 40 at 12:50 a.m. The driver refused to stop, leading to a chase across several state and county roads. The car eventually became stuck on Jade Road east of State Road JJ.

The driver April Breaux, 26, of Mexico, was arrested. A passenger in the car, 26-year-old Andrew Rotter of Holts Summit, ran from the vehicle and fled on foot into nearby woods. The Fulton Police Department and Missouri State Highway Patrol helped Callaway County deputies set up a parameter in the area. Rotter was found nearby at 1:35 a.m.

Breaux and Potter are being held at the Callaway County Jail. Both were arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance, felony resisting arrest, and unlawful possession of a weapon. Breaux was arrested on additional traffic charges, and Rotter was also arrested for possession of a controlled substance in a county jail.
