23-year-old shot in Jefferson City overnight, no suspects in custody

Jefferson City police confirmed another man was shot in the city overnight.

Police say they responded to the 1000 block of Elizabeth Street just before 11:30 Monday night for reports of gunshots.

They say they then responded to Capitol Region Medical Center where they contacted a 23-year-old man with a gun shot wound.

Police say the man suffered non-life threatening injuries in the shooting.

Officers tell us the investigation is ongoing and say they have no suspects in custody right now.

This is the second person shot in the city in the last two days.
