Man killed in Columbia motorcycle crash identified

The motorcyclist involved in a Monday afternoon crash with another vehicle has died.

Columbia police said 22-year-old Corey Kramel, of Columbia, was driving a 2009 Kawasaki motorcycle southbound on Providence Road at Interstate 70 when it crashed into a 2014 Ford Edge driven by Kathryne L. Harris of Marshall. Police say Harris turned left into the oncoming path of Kramel’s motorcycle.

CPD says the crash happened just after 4:00 Monday afternoon.

Kramel was taken to University Hospital for life threatening injuries, where he later died.
